Hurricane Harvey Funds

Houston Sierra Club recognizes the suffering and damage caused by Hurricane Harvey.  It will take time, patience, and resources to recover.  We're asking you to please consider donating to one of these funds to help our neighbors rebuild.

The Team Sierra Hurricane Harvey Recovery Fund was started by our Sierra Club Lone Star Chapter Director, Reggie James. This fund seeks to support groups on the group working to mitigate environmental effects from chemical spills to structural damage.  To donate to this fund please go to https://www.teamsierra.org/MyCampaign/Reggie

Lone Star Legal Aid's offices in downtown Houston caught on fire during the storm. Lone Star Legal Aid provides legal services to people living in poverty in Texas, ensuring civil legal rights for all Texans.  To help rebuild the Lone Star Legal Aid office, please consider donating at https://tinyurl.com/y6walf9z

#AJUSTHARVEYRECOVERY serves front line organizations and communities and their community response to flooding and recovery.  To contribute, go to https://anothergulf.com/a-just-harvey-recovery/ . This site is comprehensive; it offers locations for supply drop-off, front line organizations you can specifically contact, and how to report environmental hazards at the state and national level.

As the waters recede, there may be opportunities for Houston Sierra Club members and their friends to participate in habitat service projects affected by Hurricane Harvey and ways to voice your support for climate resilient land use.
