April 19 Program:

Low-cost, Sustainable Housing Design and Construction

On April 19 Jennifer Bailey, founder of the Saoirse Learning Center in Blanco, Texas, will discuss sustainable housing design approaches with an emphasis on hemp block construction. 

About the Saoirse Learning Center:

"We believe that low-cost sustainable housing and self-reliance skills are essential in fighting poverty AND climate-change. It is our goal to educate and empower people so they may free themselves from our modern world’s debt-ridden lifestyle, as well as to support international aid organizations in providing refuge from war and natural disasters."

The Saoirse Learning Center offers workshops focusing on low-cost, sustainable housing design and construction and Permaculture.

Bay Area meetings are on 3rd Wednesday of the month and start at 6:30pm for social hour; speaker and discussion from 7-8:30 pm.
