Welcome to Our New Chapter Director, Olivia Tanager

In 2021, I moved across the country to Reno, Nevada. I was born in Flordia, but fell in love with the ranges in the Great Basin and all of the special things that each season brings, and now know that "Home Means Nevada." Since moving to Reno, I have worked on environmental justice issues and conservation issues by organizing with directly impacted communities to advocate for community oriented solutions to environmental issues. I have a background in environmental studies and geology that helps inform my advocacy. I am committed to leveraging my knowledge and skills to enact positive change and promote equitable solutions for environmental challenges across the region.

In my spare time, you can find me doing a myriad of outdoor activities poorly, often accompanied by my husband and dog. I ski, climb, hike, fly fish, paddleboard, and generally enjoy a good frolic.
