Satpal Sidhu

State Representative #1, District 42

The Sierra Club proudly endorses Satpal Sidhu, a former solar-energy entrepreneur and current small business owner. As a business executive, Satpal leads a company that helped design solar canopies for the Chevy Volt and was also a member of the Northwest Clean Air Agency advisory council, bringing his experience and expertise to help keep our environment clean and healthy for our community. His other experience includes managing the used-lube-oil recycling operations of Valvoline Oil and Safety Kleen Corporation for the Pacific Northwest region, providing recycling solutions and environmental clean-up services and reducing sulfur emissions from marine and industrial fuels, and serving as Dean of Engineering & Trades at Bellingham Technical College.
 
Satpal believes in preventing environment degradation, keeping our water and air clean, investing in clean energy technologies and making sure the pristine environment of our community stays our legacy for generations to come. Satpal has always emphasized working from our common ground and can do the same with legislators from all parts of the state and across party lines. He has a proven record of working with integrity as an employee, employer and entrepreneur. His life has been about living the principles of fairness, and he will bring those principles to Olympia.
