Check the status of Sauk Calumet meetings due to the current COVID-19 health crisis.

As protectors of this planet, we need to protect not only ourselves, but our communities, especially those most vulnerable physically and economically. From the security of our homes, we can still make a difference by reaching out to others, by contacting our lawmakers, and by supporting those in the front lines of the struggle against COVID-19.

We will keep in touch about programs and nature hikes scheduled for later this spring. In the meantime, we hope that you are able to individually get outside and enjoy this warming spring weather. Stay well, and please contact us if we can be of aid to you.

The Sauk Calumet Group meets 7:15 P.M., on the second Monday of every month at the Frankfort Library with the exception of July and August. All meetings are free and open both to Sierra Club members and to the public.

The Frankfort Library is located on the south side of Lincoln Highway (Rte.30), about three miles south of I-80, between LaGrange Road (Rt. 45) and Harlem Avenue (Rt. 43). The address is 21119 Pfeiffer Road.

The Sauk Calumet Group was accredited as a group on June 27, 1981 and began holding meetings in 1979. It includes South Cook, Will, Kankakee, and Grundy counties, with over 1,900 members in nearly 70 towns. The territory extends north to the very southern parts of Chicago, south to Kankakee, east to the Indiana state line and west to Joliet, and Grundy county.
