2026 SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN SIERRA CLUB ELECTION

This year the members of the Southeast Michigan Sierra Club Group will elect five of the Group’s nine-member Executive Committee. Every Sierra Club member in our SE Michigan area has the opportunity to vote in this election.

The Executive Committee, or ExCom, provides leadership for the local group, and representatives of our ExCom help to lead the Michigan Chapter. We create local programs to educate and mobilize, work with chapter and national staff on projects and programs, oversee and organize outings and represent the Sierra Club in our area.

If you are a Sierra Club member in Southeast Michigan, or join now, you can vote using an electronic ballot. There are seven nominees who are running for the five available seats. The ballot has statements drafted by each candidate telling you who they are and why they are running, and then a place to vote for up to five of the candidates.

You will need your Sierra Club membership number to vote. This can be found on the Sierra Magazine mailing label, or you can get it by logging into your Sierra Club account online at myaccount.sierraclub.org. If you are a member but haven’t created an online account, you can do so by clicking on “Create Your Account” on the same webpage.
