Rapid climate change is the biggest environmental challenge humans have faced, and the risks rise daily as we continue to emit huge quantities of greenhouse gases. 

The Sierra Club is at the forefront of the effort to make our country a leader in curbing greenhouse gases and in building an economy based on clean energy and conservation. We are arguing in court and in state agencies, lobbying in Congress, in the state legislature and in county and city governments, addressing the issues on the web and talking to groups and individuals at events and in our communities.
