I have been active in the Sierra Club for years. My special interests are conservation and development issues in Columbia and Boone County local government as wekk as on-the-ground work for environmental candidates in elections.

I started volunteering for the Sierra Club about five years ago to help add events online for the group.  Earlier this year an opportunity to join the Executive Committee in a remote capacity opened up and I decided to give it a shot to step up my involvement and help round out the seats for the Committee. In the last several months I have learned so much from the Committee members. I live outside of Columbia, where most of the members are located, and they've helped me to start identifying areas where I can help in my county, where there's less activism in general. I'd love to stay on with the Committee to continue learning and finding ways that I can help the Sierra Club mission in areas where the Sierra Club has less of a voice.

I have been a member of the Executive Committee for 8 years and have served as chair for 7 years. I would like to continue as a member of the executive committee to continue to grow Sierra Club's role and membership in mid-Missouri. I am passionate about taking action to stop climate change and have led the Osage Group initiatives in this area since 2014. I have also served as the publicity chair coordinating the social media presence and producing the email newsletter. My goals for the Group are to engage more members directly as volunteers to become active environmental and environmental justice advocates throughout mid-Missouri.
