Sierra Club Endorses Environmental Champions for Kansas City Election
The City of Kansas City, Missouri will hold an important primary election on April 4, and general election on June 6. The Sierra Club Missouri Chapter, led by our volunteers in the Thomas Hart Benton Group, is mobilizing to ensure Kansas City’s incredible progress on sustainability, climate action, and environmental justice continues.
Sierra Club members and activists support candidates seeking elected office in all levels of government who will move our nation swiftly along a path to 100% clean energy by reducing greenhouse gas pollution and advancing clean energy technologies in ways that advance equity and justice. Led by our volunteers, we win victories for our communities and planet, led by our base of over 20,000 members and supporters in Missouri and nearly 4 million nationwide. The work is already underway for the April 4 election in Kansas City, and it begins with ensuring all of our friends and neighbors get out and vote and support champions who will put their health, well-being, and the environment first. Below you will find a list of champions Sierra Club has endorsed so far, and information on how you can help.

Sierra Club has not endorsed in every race yet, and our volunteer Political Committee will continue to engage in this election, meet with candidates, and evaluate responses to our questionnaire.
