The Foothills Group, one of 14 groups in the North Carolina Chapter, serves the counties of Davidson, Davie, Forsyth, Stokes, Surry, and Yadkin. Founded over 40 years ago, the Foothills group acts locally to carry out the National Sierra Club’s Misson to:
Explore, enjoy, and protect the wild places of the earth
Practice and promote the responsible use of the earth’s ecosystems and resources
Educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of the natural and human environment
Use lawful means to carry out these objectives at our local, state, and national levels
Work to bring clean energy solutions to North Carolina and support local and state wide efforts to promote healthy air, water, and enforceable pollution control standards.
Join us in Executive Committee meetings where we make plans for future activities. Our Google meetings are scheduled for 5:30 on the 3rd Thursday of each month (except July and December). The link is Foothills ExCom , but please contact a member below to be sure we haven't changed plans! Hope to see you soon.
