Marilyn Berlin Snell is a South Los Angeles–based independent journalist and a former staff writer for Sierra. She is the author of Unlikely Ally: How the Military Fights Climate Change and Protects the Environment and the cofounder of the sustainability nonprofit Urban Renewable.
