ICO Activities will resume in Summer 2026.

ICO a community outreach program that aims to make the outdoors more accessible to urban youth and adults, particularly those who may not have access to outdoor experiences otherwise. The Sierra Club describes ICO as "a chapter outings program" designed to promote wellness, connection, and leadership through outdoor activities. 

If you would like to help kids find the joy of the outdoors and nature, we would love to have you join us. Leading hikes to inspire connections in the outdoors is the core of what we do. We need volunteers to go on hikes with different local youth groups throughout the year. Each outing is required to have a "leader". ICO volunteers can get certified as leaders so that they may lead these outings. Click on this link to ask and one of us will respond - Tell me more about ICO.
