ICO
Las Vegas ICO—Inspiring Connections Outdoors, an outreach program of the Sierra Club, provides nature outings and wilderness experiences for underserved urban youth in the Las Vegas area. Trained, certified volunteer leaders work in cooperation with community agencies and schools to provide safe and enjoyable outdoor experiences to young people who might not otherwise have them. ICO participants learn to forge a meaningful bond with nature so that they will appreciate its wonder and understand the need for its protection.
Coming in fall 2022—a new ICO chapter in Reno. Leaders are needed to bring deserving kids in this region to the meaningful experiences in nature they deserve.
OUTING LEADERS
Connecting people to the outdoors is what we love to do! There are many ways that you can volunteer your time to connect folks to beautiful spaces near and far. Whether you are an expert on your local trail system or you want to support your local outdoors group, we can train and certify you to become an Outings Leader.
