Tar Sands Storytelling Tour – Coming to a Community Near You May 1-3!

Tar sands pipelines have the potential to wreak havoc on our waterways, our communities, and our future.  Tar sands oil differs from traditional oil in the difficulty (or maybe even the impossibility) of cleaning it up.

This means that the St. Croix River, the Namekagon River, the Wisconsin River, the Rock River, and others crossed by pipelines are at risk. As the dirtiest form of oil, tar sands is so carbon-intensive that former NASA scientist James Hansen said development of tar sands oil would mean 'game-over for the climate'.
