Sierra Club Foundation Information

The Four Lakes Group's Sierra Club Foundation account funds a variety of educational work, activities and projects supported by the work of our volunteers. Here is a sampling of these activities but this is not a comprehensive list:

  • Planting trees in local public lands and parks furthering a goals to address climate change with teams of volunteers
  • Creating displays on issues and interpreting these at events
  • Inviting dynamic presentations from people like Emily Ford who thru hiked the Ice Age Trail in winter on her own
  • Enabling the Group to provide transportation to and from events like the Midwest Renewable Energy Fair 
  • Planning and offering outings for educational purposes
