Huge THANK YOU to HOI Chair Bob Jorgensen on his years of leadership!

We all owe the dedicated, ever-ready, hard-working, and patient Bob Jorgensen our greatest thanks for his service as HOI Chair. Bob has led the group through a long list of issues, advocated tirelessly for clean energy, and has been the key inspiration for many of our efforts over the years. There is no way to list all the ways he has built and continued the HOI Group through his many program ideas, newsletter articles, participation in hearings after hearings, and always having a kind word and encouraging comment over these many years. Thankfully Bob will be staying on the HOI Board as a member and his advice and insights will continue to help guide your local Sierra Group.

Congratulations go to Robert Rowe, who will be the new HOI Chair.

Robert brings many skills and interests to HOI and has already initiated exciting new opportunities for involvement and programming. He is an Emeritus Professor, Graphic Design and Interactive Media at Bradley University, retired, and currently has some of his works on display at the Peoria Art Guild. His interests include outdoor activities, fly fishing, arts, reading, and travel. He continues sharing his art and craft through teaching classes at the Peoria Art Guild and other locations.

HOI Board elections completed – Vacancy on the Board!

Robert Rowe, Diane Jorgensen, Dave Grebner, and Alisha Granderson have been elected for new two-year terms on the HOI Board. They will join John Wosik and Bob Jorgensen who will be up for re-election in 2024. The HOI Board has a vacancy! If you are interested, please contact hoi@illinois.sierraclub.org.

HOI thanks board member Zach Nolan for his years of dedication and service and wishes Zach and his family much happiness in the Chicago suburbs, where Zach has a new position and can re-connect much more closely with friends and family.
