Before the polls had closed on Tuesday and anyone knew the full extent to which the oil companies who threw $8 million into the effort to defeat Measure G had gotten their money’s worth, this notice was circulating.
Yes, “Class II injection” + “Enhanced Oil Recovery” equals fracking.
Which can’t happen here, no oil company has any interest in, is geologically infeasible, etc., according to the tsunami of mailers, full page ads, tv commercials, YouTube videos, and every other scrap of campaign material that Big Oil threw at county voters over the last 9 months.
Memo for future reference: Oil companies lie. A lot.
