My experience with the Sierra Club in partnership with CHISPA and Latino Outdoors profoundly impacted my mentality. During our visit to Mt. Lemmon, we learned about environmental science and witnessed firsthand how park rangers and environmentalists work daily to protect our beautiful planet from civilization's encroachment. I saw the immense effort and dedication required, despite being chronically underfunded, to preserve these sanctuaries where nature exists in its purest form.
The group welcomed me warmly, and I felt completely at ease. The hikes, picnic, and conversations created an inviting atmosphere. I'm thankful to have been part of their adventure that day.
