Grassroots Network

The Grassroots Network’s 20 Issue Teams work on conservation issues nationally - think Federal legislation and regulation - and locally, where communities are dealing with real-time impacts. Grassroots Network teams’ advocacy is rooted in the same themes central to the Sierra Club’s mission to explore, enjoy and protect our planet, yet their work typically centers on issues beyond the Sierra Club’s funded, staffed national campaigns.

The Grassroots Network’s nimble and dynamic approach, fueled by passionate and subject-matter-expert volunteer leaders, significantly expands the scope of activism in the Sierra Club, because they engage people on important environmental issues that are typically outside of other programs. Whether you’re an expert in a particular issue, or you bring other skills like communications, running meetings, organizing, etc., you can help make a difference. We're always looking for people to join us as we advocate for a clean and healthy environment for everyone. Want to know more?
