The Illinois Attorney General's office filed a pending lawsuit against CWLP, alleging that in 2021, the company released 700 tons of coal ash into the environment.
"I was shocked that [the lawsuit] happened," Nick Dodson of Sierra Club Illinois said. "You know it was two years ago this incident occurred. And as I said, I absolutely commend the attorney general’s office showing CWLP that business as usual is no more.”
