Greg Pagliuzza
Proudly being born and raised in Chicago, I understand the challenges throughout much of the city and surrounding communities. As a life member of the Sierra Club for forty years, I am committed to the goals of the Sierra Club to protect our environment.
Professionally, I worked forty years as a finance leader starting as an auditor to Chief Financial Officer in various hospitals in Chicago and throughout the state of Illinois. The experience included working for academic medical centers to inner city hospitals mostly serving the financially disadvantaged. Additionally, my service includes membership on many not-for-profit boards and the people they serve.
If elected, I will bring my financial and strategic skills to the Chicago Chapter. The experience in working and living in other parts of the state provides a perspective of the views throughout the state. This will support the collective activities of the Chapters throughout the state.

Growing up in Chicago has given me an appreciation for our neighborhoods, cultural diversity, and community green spaces. As an Environmental Policy student at Loyola University Chicago and the current Co-Chair of the Sierra Club State Lobby Team, I have gained hands-on experience with Chicago-specific environmental practices and developed a strong passion for grassroots advocacy.
Last spring, I worked as a political campaign lead, and I am eager to continue my work focusing on the Illinois House. My recent professional experience includes a Legislative Internship with State Representative Janet Yang Rohr. During this internship, I conducted policy research, drafted legislation, and led constituent outreach to promote sustainable reform. Throughout the process, I placed special emphasis on creating legislation designed to solidify Illinois’ environmental standards and to establish buffer zones between sensitive areas and
Warehouses.
I believe a healthy, sustainable Chicago requires both bold vision and practical policy. If elected to the Executive Committee, I will bring my experience and commitment to environmental justice to help Sierra Club build a greener, more resilient city.

As a former litigation attorney and current in-house lawyer at Ferrara Candy Company, I bring over a decade of experience navigating complex legal, compliance, and policy challenges. My work has centered on ethics, environmental stewardship, and advocating for fair, transparent governance—principles that align deeply with the Sierra Club’s mission.
A long-time Chicagoan, I understand the environmental and social issues facing our city and am committed to advancing local initiatives that address climate change, promote sustainable development, and protect our green spaces. I believe in building diverse coalitions, empowering grassroots action, and making our Group’s work more accessible to all members.
If elected, I will bring my legal acumen, problem-solving skills, and passion for justice to strengthen our advocacy, ensure accountable leadership, and help guide the Chicago Group toward a more sustainable, equitable future.
