Environmental Book Club

Hello and welcome to The Prince George’s County Sierra Club Group ‘Environmental Book Club page! We meet about once each month to discuss books about environmental issues. All are welcome! We hope you will join us. The books we’ve discussed so far are listed below. We welcome your suggestions! To suggest a book or volunteer to lead a discussion, contact Na’ilah Dawkins. We hope you find the following list of books insightful, informative, and fun. The types of books we read vary in category to include educational, science, nature history, environmental policy, environmental science, botany, climate change, animals, sociology, food science, and more.

There are several reasons to start a book club. For our Group it made sense to us because in our book club we exchange various book titles previously unexplored, diversify our reading lists, explore deeper book themes and what we can learn from them, create healthy debates about many interesting environmental topics, engage in a fun social activity, and congregate with other bibliophiles (book lovers!)

Check the calendar for upcoming book discussions! We hope to see you at a discussion in the near future.

Please enjoy our current catalog of books discussed from 2020 to the present
