The Southeast Michigan Sierra Club Climate Team will be participating in three upcoming events, with a table, literature, our Environmental Jeopardy game and things people can do for the environment. If you are interested in helping out with our tabling events, please email please email sierra.club.semg@gmail.com to volunteer.
1. Cranbrook Institute of Science's Summer Science Sampler event, on Saturday, July 18, 11am-3pm. We need more folks to help out with our table and our game. No experience necessary. Send me a return email if interested. Come to the event either way - the Institute is a wonderful place - and stop by our table.
2. Oak Park Garden Tour, Sunday, July 26, 1-5pm. This garden tour event includes a local resource fair with informational tables. We have been invited to join the Garden Tour's fair. This should be fun. More information about where we will be and what is happening to come.
3. Clean Cruise. Saturday, August 8, 12-4pm, Memorial Park on Woodward at 13 Mile, Royal Oak, This is the EV response to Woodward's Dream Cruise. Lots of EV's to check out, groups with information and entertainment.
Also, the Sierra Club Michigan Chapter has begun canvassing efforts to support environmental champions in the upcoming primaries. First up are two in our area - Erin Byrne and Natalie Price. Sierra Club folks will join with the Michigan League of Conservation Voters this week for walking canvassing on these days:
