Beyond Oil

Advocates for a clean energy future that is free of oil pipelines, trains, and fossil fuel transportation through the state of Minnesota. 

Clean Energy

Seeks to advance our abundant renewable energy resources and end our dependence on fossil fuels to provide cleaner, healthier air and a stable climate.

Duluth Clean Energy

Works to advance our abundant renewable energy resources and end our dependence on fossil fuels to provide cleaner, healthier air and a stable climate. We demand a just transition to 100% clean and equitable energy in the Northland.

Land Use & Transportation

Advocates for affordable, equitable, and sustainable development as well as clean transportation for all.

Mining

The Sierra Club continues to fight toxic sulfide ore mining and advocate for a just transition away from harmful resource extraction.

Politics & Elections

Endorses climate and environmental candidates for public office and works to elect them.  

Rochester

The Rochester Area Sierra Club is working for a just, equitable, and fast transition to 100% renewable energy in Southeast Minnesota.

State Legislature

Guides legislative priorities and leads the fight for them at the Minnesota Legislature with the help of 50,000 activists across the state.

Zero Waste Task Force

Educates Minnesotans and businesses about how we can all reduce waste and live more sustainably.

Forests & Wildlife

Protects forests, wildlands, and wildlife—to keep them healthy, fight climate change, and encourage people to enjoy them safely. 

Water & Wetlands

We research, monitor, and advocate for policies that protect Minnesota’s water and wetlands.
