Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson Confirmed!

Confirmation Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson

On Thursday, April 7th, in a vote that crossed party lines, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed by the Senate to be the first Black woman ever on the U.S. Supreme Court.

Throughout the entire confirmation process, Justice Jackson showed the compassion, grace and poise deserving of a seat on the highest court in the land, and we are overjoyed to celebrate this moment. America is a nation that often struggles to live up to its ideals, but not today. Today, we get to see our nation's highest court shift to become a little more reflective of the people of this country -- the people who make this country great.

Thank you to Jocelyn Travis (Central Region Organizing Manager), Nicole Wolcott (Ohio Volunteer Coordinator), Aana Shenai (Ohio Social Media Volunteer), and all of our wonderful volunteers for the actions taken to support this campaign! We are excited about the new and creative tactics developed by Aana on all of our social media pages. Check out the awesome work she created in the slide show here!
