Join the Ventura Land Trust’s biggest event of the year for an unforgettable evening under the stars at the 16th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival.
It’s Saturday, Aug. 23 from 5-10pm at the expansive lawn at the Ventura County Credit Union, 2575 Vista Del Mar Dr, Ventura.
This inspiring festival brings together films that celebrate the beauty of nature, frontline environmental activism, and share powerful stories that inspire us to action. The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is more than a night of entertainment — it’s a celebration of community, conservation, and our shared commitment to protecting the planet.
As the Trust’s largest annual fundraiser, your attendance directly supports the preservation of local open spaces. Your ticket helps us restore habitat, build trails, plant native trees, and protect Ventura’s rivers and wild places for generations to come.
VLT now holds 3,876 acres of land in seven preserves across Ventura County—including the hillsides that inspired the organization’s founding, now known as Ventura Hills Nature Preserve and Ventura’s first landscape-scale publicly accessible nature preserve, Harmon Canyon, opened to the public in 2020.
Here’s our lineup: Freya, Friends of Frogpool Lane, Don't Doubt the Trout, Cycling Without Age, Above Sinai, One Inch From Flying, Wild Hope: Cougar Crossing, Dancing Warrior and Yuba Salmon Dance.
Ventura Land Trust preserves are free and open daily — your support keeps them that way.
This year’s festival will once again be a vibrant in-person experience with a curated selection of impactful films, plus live music, delicious food, local brews, and more.
Protecting local open space has never been more important — come be part of it.
