As I see countless federal actions stripping away critical protections for people, wildlife, and our natural spaces, I’ve been looking desperately for where progress is still being made.
I found that progress, and have seen it firsthand, by being a part of the local work done by the Sierra Club Santa Barbara - Ventura Chapter.
While the federal government attacks our environment time and time again, this local work has continued to push common sense safeguards for our environment going forward. We know we can count on you and the powerful team of activists here in Southern California to not just fight back but to also secure local wins.
The positive and impactful work being done by Sierra Club volunteers, donors, and activists like you gives me hope when I feel helpless. Stand strong today by giving whatever you can to support our work this holiday season and going into 2026.
As we stand together at this pivotal moment, your gift will harness the power of our shared hope and dedication to achieving further protection for our natural world. In 2026, we’ll be advocating together across the county and state to secure vital protections for our precious coast against fossil fuel extraction while ensuring access for more people to explore the outdoors.
Like you, we’re ready to fight for a world that puts people — not polluters — at its center. Together, we will influence elected officials to craft policy to secure our precious local lands and resources and fight for the best tomorrow for Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. Thank you for being part of growing our presence and power, our environment depends on it. To help, go to: www.sierraclub.org/santa-barbara-ventura
