The Sierra Club South Carolina Chapter, in collaboration with the New Alpha Community Development Corporation, is excited to announce a Legislative Lobby Day scheduled for April 3, 2024. This critical event empowers citizens to engage with their lawmakers and advocate for environmental and community-focused policies.
Participants are invited to arrive at Mount Zion Community Church, conveniently located at 801 Washington Street in Columbia, SC, where registration and training will begin promptly at 8:00 AM. During this session, attendees will receive valuable information on effective lobbying strategies and critical legislative issues to discuss with their representatives.
Following the training, the group will head to the State House at 1100 Gervais Street in Columbia, SC, where lobbying efforts commence at 10:00 AM. This is a unique opportunity to voice your concerns, share your perspectives, and influence decision-makers on critical topics that affect our communities and environment.
