About the Sierra Club Lone Star Chapter
The Sierra Club Lone Star Chapter is the oldest grassroots environmental organization in Texas. We believe our open spaces, clean water, and natural resources should be protected so that current and future generations may enjoy them. In addition to our state chapter office in Austin, we have several regional groups in Texas that provide wonderful opportunities to explore, enjoy, and protect the state’s natural wonders.
Imagine a Texas where every child breathes clean air, where energy bills don’t break the bank, and where communities thrive - not just survive. That's the future we're fighting for.

Get Involved in Protecting Texas’ Environment
Our work focuses on advancing policies that protect our natural resources, create economic opportunities through clean energy and modernizing our electric grid, and hold polluters accountable. We cannot do this alone. Now more than ever, we need Texans who believe in a better future to join us, take action, and drive change.
We’re Building A Future Texas Deserves - Together
Regardless of who holds office at the federal level, the challenges facing Texas demand immediate action and a long-term vision at the state and local level. Texas deserves a future where every community has access to a reliable electric grid, safe water, and air free from harmful pollutants. We know our state is capable of being a leader in climate resilience and sustainable development, and the Sierra Club Lone Star Chapter will work tirelessly to achieve this vision.
