In November 2016, Atlantans voted to significantly expand transportation choices in the city by passing a 0.5% MARTA sales tax increase, and a 0.4% transportation sales tax (TSPLOST).

This will provide long-term, dedicated transit funding for the city. The proposed sales tax is expected to raise $2.5 billion or more over the next 40-year period. Click here to view the potential MARTA expansion projects >>

The City of Atlanta will also likely pursue another half-penny transportation special purpose local option sales tax (TSPLOST) to complement the projects taken on by MARTA. Click here to view the Atlanta City Council approved project list >>

*Fulton County voters also approved a separate 0.75% transportation sales tax. For more information, click here
