G Webber

G is an experienced political campaigner and fundraiser who brings a decade of experience to the Sierra Club Georgia Chapter. G is a bridge-builder who is passionate about bringing people together to protect our shared environment and planet. Prior to joining the Sierra Club, G worked as Finance Director for local and state political campaigns, including Lindy Miller’s 2018 run for the Georgia Public Service Commission. They are passionate about creating a more equitable, inclusive and just Georgia through their work at Sierra Club. G Webber is a native Georgian and grew up in Dunwoody. They graduated from Georgia College in 2015 with a B.A. in Political Science. In their free time, G enjoys hiking with their dog, gardening, live music, paddling, and spending time on the coast.

Tasnim Mosabber (she/her)

Chapter Organizing Manager

Tasnim Mosabber

A graduate of Florida Atlantic University, Tasnim has been a player in the realms of grassroots organizing and public policy since 2014. Tasnim's journey has seen her mobilizing communities and advocating for policies that prioritize equity & justice by working with presidential campaigns, direct service organizations and international nonprofits. After years of connecting Georgians with state budget policy, she joins Sierra Club as the Chapter Organizing Manager. She is passionate about racial justice and the intersection of racism and the climate crisis. She is deeply invested in leveraging the voices of impacted communities for visibility, inclusivity and positive change.

In her free time, Tasnim can be found swing dancing, hiking, or reading a variety of fiction books.

Ricky Leroux (he/him)

Senior Communications and Policy Coordinator

Ricky Leroux

A graduate of the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communications, Ricky has spent most of his career in the newspaper industry.  After spending years as a writer and editor, he joined the staff at the Sierra Club to apply his skill set toward his passion for the outdoors. As senior communications and policy coordinator, Ricky works on the Georgia Chapter’s quarterly magazine, the Georgia Sierran, handles the chapter’s social media feeds, manages its website and email program, helps inform the Chapter's policy positions, assists with our legislative program, and more.

An avid backpacker, he spends his free time exploring the north Georgia mountains and planning trips to see National Parks (19 visited so far, trying to see all of them).

Vedia Barnett (she/her)

Senior Campaign Strategist, Military Outdoors

Vedia Barnett

Vedia Barnett is a disabled Air Force veteran, advocate for women veterans and is a community activist who was inducted into the 2018 Charles County, MD NAACP Hall-of-Fame. She has a Masters degree from George Washington University in Women, Gender & Sexualities with an emphasis on Black women veterans’ health and mental wellbeing. She became a community organizer in college and continues to tirelessly advocate for marginalized people’s right to 100% bodily autonomy, environmental justice, nature therapy and veteran education. She currently is a Senior Campaign Strategist for the Sierra Club's Military Outdoors Campaign where she champions to reduce access barriers that military members and veterans face when attempting to enjoy our state, federal and National parks.

Vedia is a 2x triathlete/2x marathoner, and in her free time, she loves to read historical fiction, gardening, hiking and glamping.

Lornett Vestal (he/him)

Senior Campaign Representative, Military Outdoors

Lornett Vestal

Lornett Vestal is the first Southeast Military Coordinator working with staff and volunteers to design and implement both regional and local strategies and programs to constructively engage the military and veteran communities in the Southeastern United States with an emphasis on Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Lornett is a Navy veteran from Chicago, IL and has a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Chicago. His passion lies in education, promoting universal equality, serving others, and protecting the environment. In his free time he enjoys international travel, reading, craft beer and watching Ultimate Fighter Championship. To find out more about the Military Outdoors program, click here.
