âť“What are the key dates I need to know?
âś… Tuesday, November 3 is Election Day. Everyone across the country can vote on that day. However, in 31 states you can vote early. Timing will vary by state. Voting early means our voice is heard before the final rush of Election Day. If voting by mail, please make sure to mail your ballot at least ONE WEEK before election day.

âś… Since day one in office, the Trump administration has been following the Project 2025 playbook as a direct giveaway to corporate polluters.
His administration has done everything they can to sell out our public lands, reduce protections for endangered species, decimate clean energy policies, and pollute our air and water. They have been cozying up to corporate polluters, raking in the cash as they sell out our lands and waters to the highest bidder, and racing to build data centers as fast as they can.
âť“How can I protect the people and the planet?
âś… Everyday people are demanding change in the streets, with our wallets, and through constant pressure on decisionmakers. While our collective advocacy has stopped some of the worst attacks on our lands, climate, and future, this administration has done far too much harm. By organizing together and keeping pressure on decisionmakers, we will be that much more able to put guardrails in place to protect our environment.
âť“How do I combat disinformation around the election?
âś… Mis- or dis-information can spread quickly during election season. Our opposition is trying everything to keep people from voting: gerrymandering, passing restrictive voter ID laws, attempting to limit mail in voting, and more.
The best thing we can do to stop it is to know how to identify what's true. Be skeptical of new information you learn. Before you share anything, especially if it's something that evokes a strong emotion, pause. Check the source. Are they trustworthy? If you're not sure, look for other sources.
âť“What's the best thing to say to someone who claims elections don't matter?
âś… Elections are one of the ways people participate in our democracy and influence the decisions that affect our communities. The officials we elect make decisions about public lands, clean air and water, energy policy, climate protections, and many other issues that affect our lives. Voting is one important way to participate in democracy.
And elections are just one step, but a very important one. We must continue to act, march, lobby, testify, and engage all year long.
We're up against a lot right now, and it can be easy to feel overwhelmed. But we have real power. There are more people who care about the planet than those who want to pollute and profit from it.
The most powerful thing any of us can do is stop acting alone and start working together. When we show up in massive numbers, we can create real change. Thank you for being an environmental advocate!
