In his State of the Union on March 1, 2022, President Biden again made several promises to the country’s hard-working families: to reduce energy costs, lower the price of electric vehicles, cut the cost of child care, prescription drugs, housing, and health care — all while taking strong action on the climate crisis. Biden and members of Congress must finally make good on this promise by crafting and passing a sweeping package of investments without delay.

Each day that passes without bold action on climate, jobs, and justice is a day of needless stress and suffering for millions of people – in particular Black and Brown communities – struggling with overstretched budgets, unabated air and water pollution, unaffordable healthcare, and an onslaught of climate-fueled storms, wildfires, and droughts.
