The Blairisms and Sierra Club: Conversations on Climate Justice and The African Diaspora

Sierra Club’s International Climate and Policy Campaign is joining with the Blairisms for a series of conversations about climate justice and The African Diaspora leading up to the 27th UN Climate Conference or Conference of Parties (COP), to be held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt in late 2022.

Blair and Brandon Dottin-Haley created the #BLAIRISMS in 2016 because they wanted more clothing in their closet that celebrated Black culture, the beauty in the African diaspora and the impact Black people have on global culture. As educators and entrepreneurs, they believe that everyone can celebrate Black culture, support Black business, and live a life full of INSPIRATION, REFLECTION and LAUGHTER.

Sierra Club’s International Climate and Policy Campaign works to address structural racism and inequity through its work to combat the climate crisis, which includes movement building internationally, diaspora engagement and just transition by building transformative relationships for social and economic justice.

This partnership brings together the two brands for a series of engaging conversations around global climate justice and the African Diaspora. You’ll hear from grassroots leaders in Africa working in their communities to combat the climate crisis and we’ll make the connection between their work and the African Diaspora.

As the world prepares for the next UN Climate Conference, hosted in Egypt, the issues confronting Africa should be at the center of the conversation. Join us each month for a new conversation! Watch past conversations below and sign up now to be updated as new conversations happen each month.
