Clean Energy Pledge focus of 2018 Sierra Club Lobby Day in Baton Rouge

The Louisiana House of Representatives formally congratulated the work of the Sierra Club Ready for 100 program and the Town of Abita Springs for the pledge Abita Springs took in 2017 to achieve 100% clean energy for all municipal buildings in the town by 2030.  Representative Paul Hollis (R - Covington) spearheaded the resolution for the Sierra Club Delta Chapter, and presented copies to Sierra Club members on the floor of the House during the Delta Chapter's Lobby Day on April 26, 2018.

Members who participated in Lobby Day also toured the State Capitol, participated in a Senate Natural Resources Committee hearing, attended a luncheon in the Governor's Press Office, and met with their legislators to discuss issues important to their communities.
