We need you! Attend Dec. 6 public hearing and say NO to the Formosa Plastics Chemical Complex

Say NO to the Formosa Plastics Chemical Complex!

The Formosa Plastics group wants to build another polluting chemical plant in a predominantly black community in St. James Parish. The company has a history of chemical spills in Baton Rouge, Texas, and Vietnam, but now has its sights set on Cancer Alley. The purpose of the hearing is for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the LA Dept of Natural Resources, and the LA Dept. of Environmental Quality to gather information and hear from the public. Formosa never even considered a non-black neighborhood when it was choosing sites for its proposed plants. Several groups pressured the government to host this hearing. Now it's time to tell Louisiana and the Army Corps how you feel about environmental racism.

See our calendar event for details on attending the hearing.
