The Delta Chapter of the Sierra Club actively follows legislation and policy at the state and local level and works to ensure that preservation of our state's natural heritage and environmental justice are issues that remain important to decision makers. We also endorse pro-environmental candidates for office. Using all available legal means, the Delta Chapter is committed to improving our state's natural environment. Legislative Action Team members may be asked to make phone calls and send emails to offices of key legislators about bills that we are interested in. We have found that calls and emails from constituents are an effective way to get legislators attention and let them know our opinion on important proposed legislation.
