The Sierra Club, founded in 1892, is now the nation's largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization, with millions of members and supporters across the country.
The North Carolina Chapter, founded in 1970, is the statewide umbrella for all Sierrans in North Carolina, and tens of thousands of members and supporters participate in our outings and events, action alerts, and other activities. Our all-volunteer Executive Committee includes representatives from across the state.
Sierra Club members are invited to attend our Chapter Executive Committee meetings, which occur bimonthly and mostly online via Google Meet. Registration and an active Sierra Club membership are required to attend.
