The N.C. Sierra Club works to elect pro-environmental candidates – and, once they're in office, hold them accountable for protecting our air, land, water, communities and families.
We rely on nonpartisan, grassroots political action carried out by our all-volunteer statewide Political Committee and local volunteers across the state, who work to:
- Elect candidates who will support and promote environmental protection
- Hold elected officials accountable
- Raise the visibility of environmental issues in electoral campaigns
- Strengthen the Sierra Club’s capacity to elect pro-environment candidates at every level of government.
