Strong Environmental Policies for NC

A healthy environment starts with a healthy democracy. For more than half a century, the N.C. Chapter has been a trusted source of information about environmental policies, and a powerful voice on legislation affecting North Carolina's environment. Our volunteer advocates play a critical role in our work to advance laws and policies that protect our environment and all who live in it, from sending emails and making phone calls to meeting in person with lawmakers.

We also push for sensible, science-based policy-making by North Carolina's governor and state agencies and boards, and support the national Sierra Club's efforts to promote pro-environmental laws and regulations at the federal level.

You can follow our work at the N.C. General Assembly by subscribing to our legislative update, sent every Friday when the chambers are in active session.

To track bills, listen to House and Senate sessions, monitor committee activities and more, visit the NCGA website. Find out who represents you in Raleigh and Washington D.C. with the NCGA lookup tool.
