Our team is focused on providing support to outings chairs and leaders to actualize Healthy Outings Programs. We support the recruitment and stewardship of volunteers, partners and participants to effectively create equitable and inclusive outings groups and outings.
We counsel and support staff and volunteer leaders in managing and building volunteer leadership teams:
developing job descriptions and expectations
recruiting and training outings trip leaders
developing partnerships in their local communities and working with entities across the Sierra Club.
connecting outings with Chapter’s work, local campaigns, advocacy issues
support volunteers, partners and staff using Sierra Club tools, policies, practices, processes and risk management to create outings.
