Sierra Club Outdoors National Conference This October!!

THE SCO CONFERENCE HAS BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL 2016.

We are very sorry to have to postpone our first annual conference due to low enrollment.
We are looking forward to planning one in 2016 and

we would like to hear from you about what interests you.

The first annual Sierra Club Outdoors National Conference will be held this October 2-4 at Clair Tappaan Lodge in Norden, CA.  During the two days together, we plan to have motivated members and community members from across the country come together to share fresh and invigorating ideas, learn from experts, and leave inspired to grow or start Sierra Club Outdoors programs focused on outdoor skill development and training in their respective areas of the country.

Planning out the next season of outings.

The Sierra Club Outdoors mission is to reach across economic lines, cultures, and communities, to engage everyone -- including military and youth -- to explore and enjoy the natural world. Our programs include Local Outings (run by groups, chapters and activity sections), Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO) and our growing Military Outdoors programs.

Conference attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about successful SCO programs & partnerships happening across the country

  • Develop new leadership and program management skills

  • Share & grow your experiences with colleagues

  • Learn how to help grow or do something new with your current programs

  • Get inspired and develop the skills to start a new program

  • Become part of the national SCO community

  • Leave with a new program development goal for 2016

  • ....and enjoy great company enjoying great meals at the Sierra Club's very own Clair Tappaan Lodge and on the trail with demo Lowa boots and Leki poles (from the Demo Center).
