Washington, DC -- Today, EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt announced that he will be ignoring the government report released last week detailing once again that humans are the primary cause of climate change and continue with his regulatory rollback.

In response, Sierra Club Legislative Director Melinda Pierce released the following statement:

“Facts are stubborn things, and no amount of deception from this administration can ever change them. Here’s another fact: Scott Pruitt is an abject failure not only as an EPA administrator but as a government official, repeatedly proving that it’s not the public he serves, but polluters. I’d call on him to take his head out of the sand to escape the rising seas, but that may be just another fact he wishes weren’t so.”
