Washington, DC -- On Sunday, EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt was exposed for flying first class on the taxpayers’ dime -- even spending more than $1,600 on a flight from Washington, DC to New York -- after he had been caught flying private, just like disgraced former HHS Secretary Tom Price. Now, after being caught flying first class from DC to Boston just this morning and a new report that Pruitt spent $43,000 on a single trip while flying in one of the world’s most expensive luxury cabins, Pruitt is claiming that he has a “blanket waiver” to fly business and first class, yet told reporters they must FOIA for additional details on this waiver.

Quote from Sierra Club Executive Director Michael Brune on Scott Pruitt’s actions:

“Perhaps the only thing Scott Pruitt holds in lower regard than clean air and water is the American taxpayer. At least Tom Price showed remorse for abusing the taxpayers’ dime; Pruitt is just doubling down on his actions. Donald Trump has fired staff for less egregious actions than Pruitt. If Trump’s Administration was anything more than a racket in support of billionaires and corporate polluters, Pruitt would have been fired a long time ago.”
