WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Led by Senator Tom Udall and Representative Kathy Castor, 161 senators and members of Congress have signed a resolution calling for EPA administrator Scott Pruitt’s resignation. The news comes as Scott Pruitt is facing yet another investigation into his law breaking and ethics violations.

In response, Sierra Club Executive Director Michael Brune released the following statement:

"The Sierra Club applauds Senator Udall, Congresswoman Castor, and the nearly 160 other members of Congress who are demanding Scott Pruitt’s immediate resignation. Scott Pruitt is not above the law, and permitting him to continue abdicating his responsibility as EPA Administrator while he violates nearly every ethical norm on the books and multiple laws undermines our country’s safety. If Scott Pruitt refuses to listen to the legislators and the millions of Americans demanding his resignation, then Donald Trump must intervene and fire him immediately.”
