Denver, CO - Wednesday, June 6, 2018 - Today, the Sierra Club of Colorado announced a new campaign to elect Jared Polis as Colorado’s next Governor. The Sierra Club’s $600,000 investment will result in a comprehensive television, mail, organizing, and digital effort to mobilize Sierra Club supporters and contact hundreds of thousands of voters across Colorado.

The campaign, which begins today and will run through Colorado’s primary Election Day on June 26, will inform Colorado voters about Jared’s bold leadership and his support for 100% clean, renewable energy. The campaign kicks off at www.ColoradoforPolis.com and with a television spot entitled “Bold.”

“Jared Polis is bold and knows how to create results. He is the only candidate for Governor not accepting special interest money--no corporate money, no PAC money, and no donations over $100,” said Colorado Sierra Club Director, Jim Alexee. “As Governor, Jared will lead Colorado to 100% clean, renewable energy by 2040 and bring universal, single payer healthcare to Colorado. And Jared will build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top.”

“From his leadership in Congress on environmental and climate issues to his plan to move Colorado to 100% renewable energy by 2040, Polis has proven he’s the leader Colorado needs,” said Sierra Club National Political Director, Ariel Hayes. “Jared will stand up to Trump and safeguard Colorado’s natural resources for present and future generations, and Sierra Club will be communicating with voters from now until primary day to help ensure Jared’s success.”

Paid for by the Sierra Club Independent Expenditure Committee. Thomas Young, Treasurer. Not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.
