Washington, DC -- Over the weekend, Politico reported that a number of current members of Donald Trump’s cabinet are heading for the door. Included in this group is scandal-plagued Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke, who is facing multiple investigations into his numerous unethical actions on top of a damning report condemning him for abusing his power and wasting $25,000 of taxpayer funds.
In response, Sierra Club Our Wild America Director Lena Moffitt released the following statement:
“It’s no wonder that Ryan Zinke may be looking to towards his $139,000 doors given he’s already locked up the title of most corrupt Interior Secretary in history. Despite what he may believe, Zinke’s path forward doesn’t end with him sitting in the Oval Office, it ends with him following disgraced former fellow Cabinet member Scott Pruitt out of the Trump administration. Hopefully he still has the horse he rode in on to escort himself out.
