DENVER, CO - Today, Sierra Club Independent Expenditure Committee announced a major general election campaign encompassing direct mail, digital advertising, phonebanking and organizer canvassing in support of Faith Winter’s campaign for Colorado Senate District 24.
This Independent Expenditure program is designed to make clear that in this race, Faith Winter is the environmental champion who will act now on climate so that Colorado’s future wont melt away. Her opponent, Republican Beth Martinez Humenik, wont.
The program emphasizes Winter’s past work on passing legislation that protects valuable lands for recreation, conservation, wildlife habitats, and family farms. The campaign will also highlight how Winter’s opponent, Humenik, voted against funding for lead testing in schools, putting our children’s health at risk while endangering our drinking water, as well as taking thousands of dollars in corporate special interest money from from the mining industry, insurance companies, big pharma, and countless others
