This year, Berkshire Hathaway-owned NV Energy received a B, a grade that has decreased over the last two years.

Knoxville, TN - The Tennessee Valley Authority has received a poor grade on the Sierra Club’s Dirty Truth Report for the fifth year in a row. TVA received a ‘D’ on the report because of the utility’s massive gas buildout and slow adoption of clean energy. Exacerbating rising energy prices, TVA isn't adding cheaper, cleaner energy fast enough.

The report shows Arizona utilities are failing to protect the state’s communities and businesses from rising costs spurred by record demand and worsening climate impacts by continuing to push for costly fossil fuels over more affordable and cleaner renewable energy. In contrast, New Mexico’s utilities, specifically PNM, are pushing forward on all new resources powered by clean energy.
