Everyone called her Ginny, in her roles as staff member and volunteer with the San Francisco Bay Chapter of the Sierra Club. In the late 1980s, Ginny was manager of the Chapter bookstore on College Avenue in Oakland, and also, as a volunteer, ran many New Member Open Houses every other month to welcome new members to the Sierra Club and orient them on how to get involved in hiking and other outdoors activities, as well as conservation committees.
Ginny died on March 28, 2022, in her apartment just above the old bookstore space, and we will miss her smile, her humor, and her energy.
